Technologies

At Pure Software, we believe in using the latest, industry-standard technologies. Below is a list of the technologies we use to create our software products.

Ruby on Rails

Ruby on Rails is a modern, full-stack web development framework written in the Ruby scripting language. It is an open source framework designed from the ground up for agile development of database backed web applications.

PHP

PHP is the world's most popular web scripting language, deployed on millions of servers worldwide. It is fast, and extremely powerful. Nearly all web hosts support PHP, and it is the standard for dynamic web site development.

MySQL

MySQL is an extremely fast, open-source relational database management system. Like PHP, it is extremely popular and supported by nearly all web hosts. Our software products take advantage of this technology to facilitate data storage and allow for more scalability.

Smarty Template Engine

Smarty is a powerful template system for PHP. Modern template systems provide a way for the application logic to be separated from the presentation. A well-implemented template system allows designers to have full control over the look and feel of the user interface. Each "template" contains the static (unchanging) HTML and CSS layout information of each page, with the dynamic content (often called "replacement variables") inside.

Smarty is currently one of the fastest template engines available, with built-in template compiling and many advanced plugins and other features. However, all of this remains completely transparent to your designers - no programming knowledge is required to customize the look of our products.

Adobe Flash

Flash is the most widely used rich client on the web, deployed on over 98% of internet-enabled desktops worldwide. Flash allows fully-animated, interactive interfaces to be embedded into websites with minimal overhead and download times.
